Xiang Shengmo was a noted Chinese painter in the Ming Dynasty. Following the style of Wen Zhengming, Xiang specialized in landscapes and flowers with an elegant taste. In flower and bird paintings, Xiang Shengmo also had his own distinctive features, especially paying attention to the shape and the composition. He was good at expressing the layers of flowers and petals, the back, and the light and shade of the light, which was different from other flower and bird painters.
